However, Indians are completely ignoring the
adverse effects of owning car and well, it is pollution. Take the example of
the capital city, New Delhi which had seen huge climatic changes in the last
3-4 years. The National Green Tribunal [NGT] is trying its best to contain the
pollution in Delhi and accordingly issued certain orders on checking the
pollution. One such issue that NGT brought to the notice is, emissions from the
vehicles. The higher capacity vehicles are emitting toxic gases in the air
which is diluting the atmosphere. Over the years many concepts made it to the
spotlight to address the emissions from vehicles but vanished at the same pace.
However, one concept is gaining strength and it is carpooling. CoYatri is launched in 2014 with an aim to make things easier for car-owners and travelers. Car-owners can offer a ride while travelers can share the ride. This will contribute to checking the pollution, lessening the traffic on roads. So people can travel city-to-city at ease and this is absolutely wallet-friendly.
Carpooling method is basically
sharing a ride with travelers and it is quite popular in the developed
countries. They are adopting this technique as it is resulting in decreasing
the stress of driving and reducing the cost of vehicle maintenance. Eventually,
carpooling became the symbol of fighting Global Warming, checking pollution and
also reducing the traffic on the road. Bringing this to India is something that
needs to be looked at as commuting is a major struggle in the over populated
country. CoYatri brings the service of carpooling application where you can
share a ride, cut down your fuel expenses, drive responsibly and last but not
least, make new friends.
