Commuting is an essential for
mankind however it is nothing less than a headache these days as traffic,
pollution and budget are major constrains. Every year millions of vehicles are
touching the roads and on the other hand, the pollution is on the rise which is
leading to drastic changes in climate. In this 21st century, the
climate change is major concern and every year millions of people are falling
sick due to pollution. Emission of CO2 and toxic chemicals are polluting the
atmosphere which is leading to higher temperatures during summer and colder
conditions during the fall. Emissions from the vehicles is a major issue to be
addressed here. Indians especially who reckon, car is a symbol status, bought
many cars over the last decade. Many foreigners are unable to do journey
city-city by strike and hiking with transporting facility and charges demand in
India .Ridesharing services has came
across as per car owners and co passengers demand is growing constantly. However,
Indians are completely ignoring the adverse effects of owning car and well, it
is pollution. Take the example of the capital city, New Delhi which had seen
huge climatic changes in the last 3-4 years. The National Green Tribunal [NGT]
is trying its best to contain the pollution in Delhi and accordingly issued
certain orders on checking the pollution. One such issue that NGT brought to
the notice is, emissions from the vehicles. The higher capacity vehicles are
emitting toxic gases in the air which is diluting the atmosphere. Over the
years many concepts made it to the spotlight to address the emissions from
vehicles but vanished at the same pace. However, one concept is gaining strength
and it is carpooling.
Carpooling method is basically
sharing a ride with travelers and it is quite popular in the developed
countries. They are adopting this technique as it is resulting in decreasing
the stress of driving and reducing the cost of vehicle maintenance. Eventually,
carpooling became the symbol of fighting Global Warming, checking pollution and
also reducing the traffic on the road. Bringing this to India is something that
needs to be looked at as commuting is a major struggle in the over populated
country. CoYatri brings the service of carpooling where you can share a ride,
cut down your fuel expenses, drive responsibly and last but not least, make new
friends. CoYatri is launched in 2014 with
an aim to make things easier for car-owners and travelers. Car-owners can offera ride while travelers can share the ride. This will contribute to checking the
pollution, lessening the traffic on roads. So people can travel city-to-city at
ease and this is absolutely wallet-friendly.
